Hello my old friend

I realised I hadn't posted on here for ages so here goes with the updates: I have now transitioned to being vegan as much as possible- I know it's impossible to be 100% vegan unless you grow your own food as inevitably some animals may get hurt in harvesting crops, etc but you can choose with every meal, with every bite of food you eat, to eat compassionately and be aware of what you eat. I have come to the point where I don't even see animal products as a food source. My husband is still just about an omnivore but he does have oat milk at home and soya milk powder in his tea and coffee in work and at home he eats whatever vegan meals I make although he will eat meat at other peoples houses occasionally (I know it's not ideal but he needs to make the choice not me!) I've watched so many films and read so many things that it seems abundantly clear that veganism is the way to go. It seems crazy that people are happy for a life to be lost and an animal to suffer just for a couple of minutes of eating something that 'tastes good'- that pig that lost it's life to be your bacon sandwich was probably smarter than a 3 year old child and definitely smarter than the pet dog sat by your side!

 Films I've watched recently:
Earthlings
Cowspiracy
Lucent
Food Inc
The Animals Film

Books I've read:

Farmageddon the true cost of cheap meat (references the UK by Compassion in World Faming chief executive Philip Lymbery)
Meat Logic by Charles Horn
Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer

Please if you have a speck of concern for your own health, the environment, animals or this planet educate yourself and realise that every meal you have you can choose compassion! :)
